segment of the high street, and three residential areas - grove avenue, landseer road and sutton garden common. on a historical note, the rolling stones were first spotted for their talent by famous music producer giorgio gomelski in 1963 in the former red lion public house (now ‘the winning post’). they played several early gigs there, months before they made the charts and became stars. sutton
